Notes from our Green Buyer
The Kiandari Mill sits near the base of Mount Kenya and collects coffee from over 1,000 smallholder farms in the area. This is a stellar example of a classic Kenyan: big acidity and big bodied.
Notes from our Roaster
Kianderi offers a sharp, tangy acidity with a stone fruit sweetness that’s both juicy and floral. As punchy as it is, it has a slight herbal quality, which is reminiscent of white tea, which produces a lighter quality to the cup. Kianderi, in particular, captures the uniquely tropical-tangy “Kenyan” profile, which diverges slightly from the herbal and sometimes even vegetal flavor profiles of other Kenyans. Enjoy another exploration into the wild world of Kenyan coffees!
