Notes from our Green Buyer
Not to be confused with our Honduras El Puente, this farm rests near the border of Mexico and Guatemala, in Huehuetenango. It’s not just fun to say (pronounce hway-hway), it is also known as the best region in Guatemala for bright, vibrant coffees. We always want a second cup of this one—a good “Huehue” always makes us happy.
Notes from our Roaster
Here’s a great coffee we’ve offered only once before, yet still with the distinct juiciness characteristic of this Guatemalan growing region. Overall, Nayo Ovalle’s washed-processed micro-lot is remarkably sweet and clean. We love coffees like this because they’re easy drinking and approachable, but far from average. We think coffees like El Puente La Libertad brew best on a Chemex—partly because you can brew plenty to share!
