LAS BRUJAS, nestled within the Kotowa Estate, was first established in 1913 by Alexander Duncan MacIntyre. Hearing rumors of the mountainous region of Boquete, Alexander trekked from Canada to Panama to discover the Baru volcano and appease his curiosity. He was captivated by the geography and culture of its people and chose to settle there. "Kotowa", "mountain" in the native language, became Alexander's lasting endeavor.

Four generations later, Ricardo Koyner carries his great grandfather's legacy and manages the family farm. At 1700-1800 meters above sea level, Kotowa produces some of Panama’s most exceptional coffees and is widely recognized as the best of Boquete. This particular geisha was processed using a post-harvest processing method called honey-processing. Once pulped, the cherry seeds are laid out to dry in their own juices with the fruit flesh still in tact. This allows for a controlled level of fermentation to occur - contributing to a much more complex coffee.

We’re thrilled to offer you Ricardo's demonstration of legacy and livelihood, with notes of pineapple, raspberry, and green tea. We only have a limited quantity available, so don't miss your opportunity to enjoy this remarkable coffee!
