Mango, Peach Jam, White Tea
|Keffa, Ethiopia||1900 meters|
In the 1980s and 90s, Ethiopia underwent sociopolitical strife as religious persecution amassed against Ethiopian Jews. Serious rescue operations ensued by the neighboring Jewish state to relocate tens of thousands of Ethiopian Jews into Israel – one of them being Efrem Tegegne. Efrem spent many years in Israel only to return to Bongo, the very place he left years before. What you have in your hands is Efrem Estate’s first ever harvest. What’s equally as impressive as its history is its quality. Present within this coffee is a brilliant bouquet of mango, peach jam, and white tea.
